Why This Reference Exists
California law makes defined categories of arrest information public, subject to safety, privacy, and investigation limits. Access is still divided among several systems. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department creates and maintains county booking records and operates the Inmate Locator, while city police departments keep the arrest reports they create. The Sheriff says booking photos are generally not released through its public booking-information channel. California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation records apply later to people in state-prison custody, and the Superior Court records what happens after booking. When a public web view is too narrow, the correct agency’s records-request process is the next route. We organize these official sources and explain what each can and cannot show. We do not host an arrest feed, public records, or photo galleries.
What Readers Can Find
The content is organized around the county’s actual publication system, including the sharp difference between a city arrest log and a county custody record.
- The county recent-arrests hub, which explains the Sheriff locator, booking-record fields, booking-photo policy, warrant checks, official correction paths, and California law.
- Separate views for Arrests Last 24 Hours and the Police Blotter, with clear warnings that no countywide rolling Sheriff feed was verified.
- Instructions for using the county roster, San Bernardino and Fontana police logs, court records, and CDCR state-prison information without confusing one custody stage with another.
- The Sheriff and city police records-request routes for obtaining an eligible booking record, arrest report, or photograph, including published response and fee details where available.
Limits of This Site
San Bernardino County Recent Arrests is privately operated. We have no connection to a California government agency, sheriff’s office, police department, jail, court, or corrections department. The information here is explanatory and cannot replace an answer from the office that owns the record.
- We cannot release, hold, move, or confirm anyone in custody.
- We cannot post bond, arrange a visit, or send funds for another person.
- We cannot give legal advice or predict what a court or agency will do.
- We cannot guarantee that an address, fee, phone number, office hour, or linked record remains current.
Only the responsible Sheriff, police, corrections, or court office can confirm current custody, official charges, release, and final case information. This site can identify the relevant source, but the agency provides the authoritative answer.
Independent Search Partners
Some pages contain search boxes supplied by independent third-party providers. Those companies control their own databases, results, terms, and prices. If a search tool leads to a paid signup, this site may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep the public reference material available without charge, but it does not make the outside service official or place its pricing and results under our control.
